Frequently Asked Questions
Do you only post work from home jobs?
I focus mainly on posting jobs that can be done entirely remotely from home. But I will occasionally also post other nontraditional jobs where you might have to leave your home, such as to make deliveries, mystery shop or to run errands.
How do you find the job leads that get posted on this site?
I find most of my job openings by searching for remote job openings on various job sites, blogs, and forums. I keep the search terms broad to return as many jobs as possible so I don't miss out on any unique or unexpected remote job opportunities.
Then I read through each job listing, posting only jobs that don't ask for previous job experience (with a few exceptions: see below) or a specific college degree.
Do you only post jobs that don't ask for previous experience?
By default, I only post jobs that don't ask for previous job experience. However, there is an exception to this. I will occasionally post jobs that ask for previous experience if those jobs are similar to the jobs I normally post (e.g., executive or virtual assistant, etc.) and it pays well for that type of job.
I do it with the hope of motivating my reader to apply for the no-experience job first knowing just how much more they can potentially earn with a few years of experience down the line. And when I do post a job that asks for previous experience, I will make it clearly known in the post title or post intro as well as on the job description itself.
What do you mean when you say you only post jobs that don't ask for a specific college degree?
I post jobs that don't require any education, as well as jobs that require high school and/or general two or four year college degrees. However, I don't post jobs that require a specific type of degree (e.g., nursing, computer science, etc). In any case, I will make any degree required clearly known in the post title or post intro as well as on the job description itself.
Isn't this site redundant when there are so many job search sites already?
In my experience, when you search online for remote jobs that don't require any past experience or a college degree, job sites will return a lot of results (often thousands) but almost none that truely matches what you want. Not to mention all the fake job posts you have to learn to skip. I created this site with the hope of saving my readers time by bringing only legitimate jobs to their attention.
How often do you post?
I try to post job leads within minutes to a few hours at most of finding them. Weekends and holidays are typically the worst days to find new job leads.
Any minimum requirements for how much the job should pay before you post it?
I don't post jobs that pay less than $10 an hour. Beyond that, I don't have a hard rule for how much minimum a job has to pay as long as the pay vs duties seems fair. For example, if a super-easy seeming job says it pays $11 an hour, I may post it but if a harder job (e.g., call center or phone sales) pays $14 an hour, I may skip it. It all depends on how much I think my readers will appreciate finding that job.
Are you involved in the hiring process of the jobs you post?
No, I am not involved in hiring job seekers for any company. I am just posting jobs I find online in an independent capacity. I have no more knowledge of the jobs posted on this site than anyone else who has read the job application on the hiring company's website.
